This is a carved Opalite Kwan Yin! Opalite is a man-made material. For more info, see below the measurements. Opalite is one of my most requested materials - absolutely gorgeous! The stone itself has a unique coloring! The colors shift and change as you turn the piece in your hands. It is semi-transparent, and shades present include orange, blue, purple, and gold. Opalite almost seems to glow from within - very cool! Nice simple, clean details. It does stand upright on its own. It leans slightly to the right.
There may be a few tiny organic spots here and there from bubbles/inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was carved and polished. Check out how it works with subtle energies below!

Kwan Yin is the embodiment of compassion and mercy, and her name means "She Who Hears the Cries of the World". She is considered to be the Buddhist Madonna, a protectress of women and children. Also spelled Kuan Yin and Quan Yin. No matter what spelling you use, however, she is still serene and full of compassion!
Opalite is a lab grown, man-made, opalized glass. It is sometimes also called "Sea Opal Glass.” It is NOT a naturally occurring Opal.
